1. Overview

CatBreedr allows certain features to be used as a guest, while other features may require an account. Information you provide may be stored on your device and, when needed to provide account, synchronization, communication, media, or other online features, may also be transmitted to and stored by systems used to operate the Service. This Privacy Policy explains how CatBreedr ("CatBreedr," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the CatBreedr application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using CatBreedr, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Data we store on device

Display name, profile photo, bio, social links, cat profiles, heat-cycle notes, friend list, messages, and privacy preferences may be saved in on-device storage (AsyncStorage).

3. Location

Your selected profile city and city-centre coordinates are saved to your account for cat search. Hiding the city on your profile does not remove it from search matching. Event locations you post are saved online and shown according to their privacy settings. With permission, device location supports maps and nearby search. CatBreedr does not continuously track your location in the background.

4. Photos & camera

If you grant permission, CatBreedr may access your camera or photo library when you choose to take or select images. Images you choose to use with online features, such as profile, cat, kitten, or gallery images, may be uploaded to and stored by systems used to provide the Service. CatBreedr does not access your camera or photo library without the permissions required by your device.

5. Privacy controls

You can use available privacy controls to manage the visibility of certain account and cat information and to hide your friends list from other users. The availability and effect of individual privacy controls may depend on the feature being used.

6. Children

CatBreedr is not directed at children under 13. Do not submit personal information about children through the app.

Payment information may be processed by third-party payment providers rather than being stored directly by CatBreedr. Once you voluntarily provide information to another user, CatBreedr cannot control what that person does with the information. You should use caution before sharing personal information with people you meet through CatBreedr.

24. Important Disclaimer

CatBreedr is a platform that allows users to connect and communicate. CatBreedr does not guarantee the identity, conduct, honesty, safety, qualifications, representations, or intentions of any user. CatBreedr is not responsible for communications between users, arrangements made between users, meetings between users, transactions between users, breeding arrangements, or events that occur outside of CatBreedr. Users are responsible for exercising appropriate judgment and taking reasonable precautions when sharing information, communicating with other users, arranging meetings, handling animals, or entering into agreements or transactions. Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to eliminate any rights or protections that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

Account security, verification and deletion

CatBreedr uses Neon for account data and Cloudflare for the API and image storage. Profile, cat, kitten, event, message and social data used online are stored on these services. Mapbox processes map and search requests. Optional security notifications use Expo and Firebase; delivery tokens are stored for that purpose. Passkeys store a public key; CatBreedr does not receive your biometric data. Sign-in time, approximate network location and device hints help detect unfamiliar activity; security history and inactive device records are retained for 90 days. Optional identity review collects your name, ID images and a selfie in private storage for manual review. Evidence is deleted after a decision or application expiry (72 hours), with failed cleanup retried; verification status remains until account deletion. Delete your account in Settings using your current password, or request deletion at contactus@breedrs.app. Account records and credentials are removed, and image cleanup is retried if unavailable. Pending abuse reports remain until reviewed; closed reports are kept for 90 days. Deletion cannot remove copies others have already received.

Google sign-in and account control

We verify Google-issued identity tokens and store your Google account identifier and verified email to sign you in. Google name may be used to suggest a public username that you can edit. Google tokens are not saved as app sessions. Sensitive account actions can be confirmed with a fresh Google sign-in for that same app account. Account deletion removes Google identity records.

Password reset email

Gmail delivers a single-use password reset link to your registered email. Links expire in 15 minutes; only a token hash is stored. A completed reset revokes existing sessions. Do not share links or credentials.

Advertising and Premium

When enabled, Google AdMob processes device and advertising identifiers, IP address, device information and ad interactions for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. We do not send profile, message, pet records or precise location to AdMob. Non-personalized ads can still use device storage and identifiers. Where required, consent is requested before ads and privacy options are available in Settings. Google advertising privacy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Premium payment processing is handled by the app store; subscription transaction identifiers and entitlements are used to validate access. Planned products cannot be purchased until enabled.

AI support, restrictions and notices

Optional AI support sends your support question to Cloudflare Workers AI. Avoid private details; filtering may not remove every sensitive value. Rate limits use hashed network identifiers; do not use support for emergencies. App-scoped hashes of installation and platform identifiers enforce temporary or permanent restrictions, with reasons, expiry and an admin action log. Restrictions can affect other accounts on the same device and may remain after account deletion until expiry or appeal. Official announcements and messages may store read acknowledgments.
